How do you spell Illinois?

Last night at our Blue and Gold Banquet each scout was assigned a different letter of the alphabet and then was to research somewhere in the United States that began with that letter and talk about it. I was amazed at some of the places that these boys chose. When Noah got up to the microphone he held up the letter "L" and said "L is for "L"-inois". Well, what my kids lack in spelling abilities, they make up for in giggle power. Way to go Noah!!!!

Lady Utes!

We had a great time cheering on the Lady Utes this weekend. I was surprised to run into so many people that I knew, including someone I worked with before Valesca was born. What a small world it seems like sometimes.

Happy Valentine's Day

Just wanted to wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you are doing something special with the loves of your life. I woke up this morning to hearts all over my door and a note. My kids think it is neat to get a Valentine in the mail from Grandma each year. I will be fixing a fun dinner tonight. However you celebrate, just be sure to tell the ones that you love..."I LOVE YOU".

Strange, but COOL

It is a little strange to see someone that you used to babysit and they are all grown up, on tv, and are the current "Mrs. Utah". Strange, but Cool!

Draper Temple Open House

Posted by Picasa
Saturday we were able to attend the Open House for the Draper Temple. It was a beautiful and sunny day (as you can see by our squinting in the picture). When Elijah was asked by his grandmother about his experience he first mentioned the "cookies" which were at the end of the tour, then he talked about the mirrors and other things. I guess you can tell what impresses a 6 year old the most. (ha ha)
