Remember: If you aren't having fun, you aren't doing it right! This is an attempt to document the comings and goings and everyday life of our family. There are no promises as to how often we will keep up with the blog, but we are promising you will see us as we truly are.

Fingerprinted at the Police Station today
Some may know, others may not...about 2 months ago Valesca had her bike stolen while she was at work. She rode her scooter to work, and then it got stolen. Her bike is her transportation to and from work, so we were praying that we would be able to get her bike back...and today our prayers were answered in a very interesting way. Our neighbor called this afternoon and told me her son's scooter had recently been stolen, but she had put her phone number on the bottom of the scooter and had received a phone call from the police to pick it up. She thought that maybe we could try to see if Valesca's bike had been turned in as well. After Valesca came home from school we went to the Police station to check it out. We gave a description and they brought out a scooter and a bike. The scooter wasn't hers, but to our amazement, it was her bike and it had been turned in last Thursday! She opened the bike lock to prove that it was indeed hers. We are so blessed to be able to get it back. What a wonderful set of events. - I had to give the Police my drivers license, sign some papers and be fingerprinted before we could take the bike home. I had better watch myself now that I know I am in their system.

Happy Birthday Mom!
Saturday, October 24, 2009
I just love a barbershop quartet
Look at what I got today. http://email.mydisneyparks.com/h/disney/foyb/splash/C8666632_FOYB_splashdlr.html
It is 9:00 am and so far today: my mom called at 7:10am to wish me Happy Birthday and sounded surprised that I was still asleep. Thanks Mom! (Couldn't get back to sleep after that.) My kids made me breakfast. Thanks Kids! I have been reading all of my emails.
In an hour I get to go to a soccer game and then "Who Knows?" what the rest of the day will bring. Hope it is a good one for all of you.

Daily GRIND
For some reason my kids have been fighting over who gets to grind wheat. I would have thought they were like in the Little Red Hen story and would only want to eat the bread, but I have been pleasantly surprised. We even had to set a timer so that everyone would get to do it 5 minutes at time. I wish it was this easy with every chore in the house. They have hand-ground an ice cream bucket full in just a few hours. WOW! I guess it is easier than I thought to entertain them while they are "off track".Saturday, October 3, 2009
Fulfillment of a Desire

Well, for as long as I have known Brad he has expressed some desire to go Sky Diving. Being the loving wife I am, I have always quickly changed the subject since I did not feel comfortable in letting him do this. Last year we came across an indoor sky diving location that made me feel more at ease with the concept of sky diving, so Brad received a gift certificate/package for Christmas last year. When I gave this to him, I told him it was for 2 people and he could choose whomever he wanted to go "fly" with him. I felt pretty safe that he would not choose me since I don't see any reason why anyone would ever want to jump out of a plane unless it was going to crash. Well, my loving Brad chose me to fly with him and yesterday I had to overcome some fears to do so. I feel comforted only in the realization that we didn't actually have to jump out of an airplane and that it was a more controlled environment. Nervous- you bet!!!! I made sure to use the restroom just before so I wouldn't have an accident in mid-air. (ha ha) The kids came along and were not about to miss out on seeing their mom squirm, but now they all want to have a turn.
This video was taken by Joshua- it is not the souvenir dvd.
The souvenir t-shirt, certificate and dvd are great to have so that I can re-live it in mind and not body. WOW- did I really do that?!!!!!!!
So, what do you think? Leave a comment.
