Grade School Musical

Elijah performed in is 2nd grade program today as a tortoise. Those kids did a FANTASTIC job!

Choir performance

Valesca was in Girl's choir for only half of the year. This was her concert last night. She tried out for and made ACappella choir for next year!

Special Stake Conference Choir

Noah and Elijah were chosen to sing in a special children's choir in our Stake Conference today. They have been going to practices for a few months. We had a wonderful meeting today that started off with the prelude music played by 4 primary age violinists. All primary children were able to sing in the program, but our boys were in the special choir that got to sit in the choir seats during the entire meeting. Basically, the children sang a primary song, a primary child gave a talk that demonstrated the principles of the song in their life and then an adult spoke about the message of the song as well, then the rotation started over. There was even a special video presentation. It was an excellent meeting full of the spirit and I am grateful that I was able to attend.

Annnnnnd, ACTION!

Early this morning Josh and Valesca got up to go to a movie shoot.

They were chosen to be in one of the Mormon Messages Videos based on a talk given by Elder Bednar.

Basically, they just had to ride on a school bus and text or listen to their ipods.

They had lots of fun and they were told that the video will probably be available to see sometime this summer!

Studio Audience- Count me in!

I am a semi-regular viewer of the Salt Lake daytime program Studio 5. They had their first ever studio audience and I got tickets to attend.

I invited my sister Ruth to come with me. We tried to win the trip to Disneyland, but weren't that lucky.

We sat right next to the band and could be seen on the television monitor when they showed the band.

We each had a goodie bag under our seats, and this is what was in them along with a ticket to a show at Hale Center Theatre. I had fun!

What the mailman brought me

Yesterday the mailman brought this fun cookbook and a coupon for a FREE Lion House Pie- I won this on Studio 5...can't wait to go choose my pie, and maybe I will even be motivated to bake one.
