Happy Pioneer Day

Orson Pratt was actually much younger looking when he was the first pioneer to enter the Salt Lake Valley on the 21st of July. We are grateful for his efforts and his testimony. He was a very interesting man. One thing that may not be well known is that he was the last surviving member of the Quorum of the 12 apostles who had served with Joseph Smith. Happy Pioneer Day!

Many have asked for specifics on our trip. I don't have an actual itinerary with the clues, just a cheat sheet. I have posted several of the clues on Facebook if you would like to see them there

Last night we went to see and vote for the floats that will be in the parade on Friday.

I thought that this float was interesting because the entire float was made with quilts.

had potatoe sack races, horse back rides,
did some calf roping and several other fun activites. It was hot, but it was fun!
