Happy 77th Birthday

Earlier this week we got to host a Surprise Birthday Party for Brad's father...Happy Birthday!

School's back in session

Ahhhh, the smell of new lunch boxes; the feel of new erasers; the gentle glide of a brand-new pencil. Wow, school is back in session!

Grandma's Camp

Elijah spent a night at Grandma's Camp with some of his cousins and had a great time!

Happy Pioneer Day

Orson Pratt was actually much younger looking when he was the first pioneer to enter the Salt Lake Valley on the 21st of July. We are grateful for his efforts and his testimony. He was a very interesting man. One thing that may not be well known is that he was the last surviving member of the Quorum of the 12 apostles who had served with Joseph Smith. Happy Pioneer Day!

Answers to the Amazing Race

For those who are interested in the answers to the places we visited on our Amazing Race, I have now put a caption below each picture. Some of your guesses were correct, and some were not.
Many have asked for specifics on our trip. I don't have an actual itinerary with the clues, just a cheat sheet. I have posted several of the clues on Facebook if you would like to see them there.

Webelos Camp

Today I spent the day up at Camp Tracy with the Webelos Scouts. We worked on the Forester, Geology, Citizenship, and Naturalist pins as well as some boating. I came home quite wet!

Days of '47 Float Preview

Last night we went to see and vote for the floats that will be in the parade on Friday.


I thought that this float was interesting because the entire float was made with quilts.

Family Fun Day- Days of '47

We spent part of the day up at "This is the Place Heritage Park" at the Days of '47 Family Fun Day. We played games, ate popsicles,

had potatoe sack races, horse back rides,

did some calf roping and several other fun activites. It was hot, but it was fun!
