Puppies

Yesterday we got our first look at Sara's puppy litter. We will have to come back and see them again when they are even cuter with the really fluffy fur.

Here is our new dishwasher. We are still trying to figure out how she works, but we are glad to have her as part of the family.

Tickled Pink

I met Miss Valesca at school today during her lunch time and a torrential downpour. I brought the van full of balloons, feathers and other pink decor. We found the poor fellow's car and opened it with the key his mother so graciously brought to our house. We laughed alot and got really wet. We even moved his car to a totally different spot in the parking lot. He was EXTREMELY surprised, but that is what you get when you ask Valesca to Homecoming.

Two sick kids and a mom with a hurt foot

I already had an appointment to see the doctor bright and early this morning concerning some pain in my feet, but I wasn't expecting both of these boys to be sick. Elijah has an ear infection with stuff draining from his ear, and Noah has strep throat. So, doctor visits for all 3 of us and prescriptions totalling over $130.00! We took the opportunity to get our flu shots though. Hope they feel better soon so I can some things done around here.

NUTS!

The doorbell rang and this is what we found on the front porch. A container full of nuts. Each nut needed to be shelled to find a paper inside that held the clue to "WHO" wanted her to go to the dance with him.

Brothers were helping to shell the pistachios.

Friends were there to lend a hand.
After a VERY long time, we came to the conclusion that the invitation to Homecoming was from Brad- and we don't want to eat pistachios again for a very long time!

Now she has to think of a creative way to answer him.

Baby, what a big surprise

Last night Brad and I attended the Peter Cetera (of CHICAGO fame) concert at the Sandy Amphitheater. It was a little chilly, but a wonderful evening. This is the 4th of his concerts that we have attended and they have all been great. We sat in the 7th row center and had one of the best seats in the house!

Guess what we are doing this weekend...

Some people at church may have noticed that we have flecks of white or perhaps larger white marks on our arms or faces. That would be from the primer we so generously put on the wall and ceiling in Joshua's and Elijah's rooms. Elijah's room used to be the playroom and didn't have a door or a closet, but Brad fixed both of those problems this summer. Now we are priming and painting so that we can finish up the projects and get on with our otherwise busy life. Isn't Labor Day a holiday when you put in loads of labor around your house? (Don't tell our kids that it is anything less than that!)

Bigger than a basketball

Our pumpkins are growing pretty large this year. Many of them are larger than basketballs. Looks like some fun jack-o-lanterns next month.
