They took my blood

The doctor wanted to do some tests, so he had his first time to give blood...
and he wasn't exactly thrilled with the idea, but he survived.
Later we went to the newly opened Lego store and dreamed about what legos we would buy if money weren't an issue.

Who dropped the ball?

Two weeks ago we made arrangements for Elijah to have tubes put in his ears again. On Friday, I realized (too late) that I had not heard from anyone about the time that we needed to be in for his surgery. I woke up at 6:30 this morning to call the Surgical Center and find out when to come. SURPRISE! No one from the doctor's office had scheduled our surgery- no wonder we hadn't received a call. The office called us at 7:30, nurse apologizing profusely, and asked if he had eaten yet-NOPE- then get over to the surgical center right away. So, we are there at 7:50, but there is no formal paperwork, so we had to wait until 10:00 for everything to be put through. Elijah is wanting a drink or food and he is getting more nervous. (poor guy) So grateful for the gentleman who let Elijah go before him since his surgery was very short. All went well and we were home by 11:40. I am not very happy with the situation, but I am happy that it is all over for today. (Knock on Wood)

Two sick kids and a mom with a hurt foot

I already had an appointment to see the doctor bright and early this morning concerning some pain in my feet, but I wasn't expecting both of these boys to be sick. Elijah has an ear infection with stuff draining from his ear, and Noah has strep throat. So, doctor visits for all 3 of us and prescriptions totalling over $130.00! We took the opportunity to get our flu shots though. Hope they feel better soon so I can some things done around here.
