Timberrrrrrrrrr

There are a clump of cottonwood trees that migrated into our yard from our neighbor.  The only thing that they do is mess up our yard with ground level roots and with truckloads of leafs in the fall.
One of the branches of the trees looks like it could break and fall on our neighbor's house when the snows fall, so we figured we need to take the trees out.
So, armed with a reciprocating saw and testosterone, the boys practiced on the easiest tree.
No injuries to persons or property- YAY!  Now we just need to borrow a chainsaw and wood chipper to try and take care of the rest.

Peaches, peaches everywhere

This year our two peach trees were filled with smaller than normal peaches.  The trees were so full that we had many branches break.  We filled jar after jar of peaches, froze some, ate quite a bit and drove around the neighborhood various times trying to share our good fortune with others.  We still have about 1/4 of one of the trees left.

Weddings- and all that comes with it

My niece got married the first part of November.
Valesca and I hosted a bridal shower for her at our home.
It was a beautiful day and she was a beautiful bride.
Our family helped out in the kitchen preparing all of the food for the reception as well as keeping the drink dispensers filled.  It was a bigger job than we had anticipated, but we all worked together to get it done.
Valesca and Noah had a a good time dancing...
and Elijah danced with his mom.
