Payson Temple Open House

Our family had a wet evening at the Payson Temple.

What do you do on your 12th birthday?

Well, you wake up at scout camp

 

 You see the "minecraft" cake your mom made

 

 You get to be treated like a King

 

 You are ordained a Deacon

 

 

 You go to the temple and do baptisms for people you found the names for

You have a HUGE smile on your face because you have such a great day!

 

Oh, and you have Iceburg for dinner.

Earlier in the year the missionaries were able to go into New York City and attend the Manhattan Temple.

21st Wedding Anniversary

 I would not have even guessed that on my 21st Wedding Anniversary I would be taking one of my children to the MTC to serve a mission.  (Notice the 21 fingers.)

Valerie and Nathan Get Married

 My niece Valerie married Nathan Cunningham a few weeks ago, and life is so crazy that I haven't had time to put any pictures online.

Me, Oh My, Valesca turned 19 years old!

 My not so little girl turned 19 more than a week ago, and we have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to even think very much about it.  She decided that she wanted chocolate cheesecake this year, so I didn't have to make or decorate a fancy cake (whew!).

 The day after her birthday she was able to go to the temple to receive her endowment.  It was fun to be able to be there with her cousin who was getting married the following week.

 We also had quite a few family members who were able to be there with us.

Valesca is such a wonderful young women and I am so blessed to be her mom...love you Valesca!

Baptisms with the Cousins

We invited the cousins to come and do baptisms before Valesca leaves on her mission.  They had hot chocolate and muffins at our house afterwards.  Glad that they could do this together.

Weddings- and all that comes with it

My niece got married the first part of November.

 Valesca and I hosted a bridal shower for her at our home.

 It was a beautiful day and she was a beautiful bride.

 Our family helped out in the kitchen preparing all of the food for the reception as well as keeping the drink dispensers filled.  It was a bigger job than we had anticipated, but we all worked together to get it done.

 Valesca and Noah had a a good time dancing...

and Elijah danced with his mom.
