221 Pounds of Christmas Cheer
On Tuesday Joshua delivered his boxes of donations to Primary Children's Medical Center for his Eagle Scout Project. They were surprised and overwhelmed at the amount of items that were donated. They called their P/R department and had them come and take pictures of him donating the items. ( The picture will be featured in the hospital newsletter). We were unsure how to itemize everything since there was such a wide variety, so we decided to weigh the donations. The 8 gigantic boxes totalled 221 pounds. It was a wonderful feeling to be a part of bringing some bit of happiness to children who will be in the hospital during Christmas this year.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

How mean am I?
This year I told the kids that they would have to keep their rooms clean for 2 weeks straight, or NO presents. I talked it up for a few weeks and even posted a notice on their doors. We started 3 days ago. So far, so good. The kids are very nervous about this- especially Josh and Elijah. I am just happy that I have found a way to have a cleaner house before Christmas. Does that make me a mean mom?
So, what does that mean if they don't get their rooms clean? I don't know yet, and I hope I don't have to worry about that.
