Here is the whole gang of kids who were here a week ago for Valesca's birthday party.

As I looked out the window yesterday morning when the fog was starting to lift, I noticed the frost covering the trees and thought I would venture outside for a picture. So, out I went in my slippers and sweater. As I stepped onto the driveway to make my way to the trees, I quickly found out that the invisible film lingering on the cement was EXTREMELY slippery and my feet slipped out from under me, and I found myself reclining on the driveway. I whacked my hand, and the camera, but I am hoping they are both fine. You know, I guess there is a reason why they call them SLIPPERS.

Happy Sweet 16!

Happy Birthday to our one and only daughter! We are so blessed to have her as part of our family. We appreciate her for her kindness and happy outlook on life and that she is the "peacemaker" of the family. We know she is getting impatient about getting her Drivers License, but that will come in time (when mom and dad get the nerve). We are excited, along with her, for the opportunities that are opening up for her.
Those boys are forming a line just to be able to take her on a date, and her parents aren't sure if they should be happy about that or frightened by that. We appreciate that she chose to follow a Prophet of God- someone who actually tells us what God wants us to do- and waiting until she is 16 years old to date! We are grateful for all of the wonderful friends that she surrounds herself with...she is lucky to have such great friends who live righteous lives. Thanks for being so GREAT! We love you!!!! Happy Birthday!

First Blog of the New Year

Things around the Throckmorton home are as busy as ever. Right now everything seems to revolve around someone who will be turning 16 next week- the birthday party, the dating, the driving, etc.. I have a feeling that this is going to be a very interesting next few months as we begin to figure out these new horizons opening up. We will keep you posted on this roller coaster ride.
