Soccer Season

Elijah did well in his first game of the new season. His team beat the other team 12-0. It should be a fun year!

GAME DAY!!!

This is Valesca when she finally got home from the Bingham vs Alta game last night!!! We could hear the game from our house almost 2 miles away. The news said there was at least 10,000 people in attendance. Bingham is still #1!

Stung Again!

Do you remember a post from last year about Brad's experience with bees? Well, 2 nights ago he was stung while weeding in the garden. His entire arm is swollen and he cannot move his fingers. I made him go to the doctor today. Hope he starts feeling better soon. Glad he doesn't have the allergic reaction where you stop breathing...this is bad enough!

The time has finally come!

Am I really old enough to have a child in High School? I don't feel that old. Today marks the end of a particular time in my life. It has been a time when my whole emphasis and focus has been to take care of my children 24/7. Well, that is still going to be happening, but those children will all be be in school for about 8 of those 24 hours, and I won't need to entertain them during that time! Just think, I have been taking care of a precious child on a constant basis for over 15 1/2 years (except on a few getaways with my sweetheart). Am I ready to enter a new chapter in my life? Well, I am certainly ready for my youngest to be at school for the whole day, but I am not sure about the oldest and the driving and dating part of life. I am sure that we will manage, but this roller coaster is just about ready to speed down the steep hill and I am smiling, but terrified and thrilled all at the same time. Wish me luck!

Primary Activity "Sunshine in your Sole"

River 5th Primary had an activity on Saturday. The theme was There is Sunshine in My "Sole" Today. The children brought shoes to donate to a foundation called Soles4Souls, which helps people globally. Lara Millington talked about the different kinds of people that would be helped by our project. Then Amy VanWagenen taught the kids the hymn that our activity was based on and explained how sharing the soles of these shoes will bring happiness to each soul who donated. We then walked on the soles of our shoes to deliver some sunshine to the members of the Bishopbric. Thanks to everyone for their help in making this activity so successful. We had over 90 pairs of shoes donated!
