It was not difficult at all, as some had led me to believe. It did, however, take a long time to process and was still boiling in the jars more than 2 hours after I had finished. When chicken goes on sale, I plan to try that. I am excited that I don't have to keep all of it in my freezer and we can save that place for JAM! Thursday, April 14, 2011
Where's The Beef?
Well, I actually found some beef on sale yesterday, so I decided I would try my hand at canning meat. (In real life the meat actually looks brown- don't know why this photo looks so whacky.) 
It was not difficult at all, as some had led me to believe. It did, however, take a long time to process and was still boiling in the jars more than 2 hours after I had finished. When chicken goes on sale, I plan to try that. I am excited that I don't have to keep all of it in my freezer and we can save that place for JAM!
