THE POLICE!
Yesterday Brad went out for his daily walk around the neighborhood at lunch time. When he was on his way back home a police officer pulled over and stopped him. (This was not on a busy street, mind you, he was in the middle of the neighborhood.) He was asked what he was doing- he was walking. He was asked where he lived- a block from here. He was told that there have been a rash of "break-ins" and he MATCHED THE DESCRIPTION of the suspect that they were VERY EAGER to apprehend! He was asked for his drivers license- the officer went to his car and typed in some information. Another police car pulled up- called for backup. Well, the officer didn't find that there were any warrants out for his arrest, so he let Brad go. Brad laughs because there was another man who walked right by with a hoodie and backpack (probably full of stolen goods) and the officers didn't even take notice.
Now, if I were out on a walk, I wouldn't have had my drivers license with me- I would have been hauled down to the station for questioning. I didn't know you had to have a license to go for a walk. I also didn't know that I had such a suspicious looking guy for a husband (I better keep a better eye on him).
