Wow, I didn't think that planning a surprise birthday party was going to be so difficult. Perhaps it normally would not be, but planning it for Brad had its very stressful moments.
I would say that the hardest part of the whole thing was the INVITATIONS. Well, being a mom, I only have a few moments here and there that I could dedicate to this endeavor. That would have been fine, but every time that I sat down to the computer or that I started assembling the invitations, Brad chose that
very moment to come out of his office and walk right past wherever I was. I vividly remember throwing things under the table and all around and then acting like everything was normal. Talk about difficult!!!!!
So, it worked. Brad never even saw it coming and he was extrememely surprised. What made it even better, he actually showed up, didn't run away and wasn't upset with us afterwards. In fact, he had a great time.

All of the wonderful friends and family who came and celebrated with us and who sent cards, gifts and emails made it all worthwhile. Some we/he hadn't seen for a very long time. We were disappointed that a few we were hoping to see couldn't make it, but we were grateful to those who did. What a great way to spend an evening.

Happy Birthday Brad- 2 weeks early...that is what made it such a great surprise!!!!
