Startled into Reality

Yes, this is my "soon to be " 16 year old son who was asked to a Girls Choice dance in November- ever so close to his birthday. Am I shocked? YES! Not because I didn't think a girl would want to ask him, but because I wasn't mentally ready for this to happen.
Two of my kiddos dating...when did I get to be old enough for that?

Frozen Peaches

I tried something new this year- I froze individual packages of peaches for the kids to take in their school lunches.

Whitewashing the "B"

It is a long Bingham High tradition that only Seniors get the opportunity to be a part of. Each year Seniors compete to be one of the 100 chosen to go and whitewash the "B" on the mountain. Valesca was LUCKY (well she thinks she was lucky) enough to be chosen. She got up very early, mounted the bus and was off. This is what she came back looking like- and she even wore a shower cap most of the time. She took a disposable camera (good thing because it is all white as well) and we will have to see what the action shots look like when the prints come back.

Parents Night

Monday night- Bingham High Marching Band Rehearsal/Performance for Families
I was very impressed that my boy could play an instrument and dance and move in a synchronized manner- all at the same time- while dodging Color Guard flags.

Their program this year is entitled "Sunrise, sunset". They begin at one end of the field with the morning sunrise and end on the opposite end with the sunset- pretty cool!

The band has been working very hard. They are the third largest band in the state right now and they are in full swing with competitions.

Just Peachy

Well, we emptied one branch plus a little more and got 25 jars of peaches filled. It is going to be a long, orange road ahead.
