Valesca went to the school Black Light Stomp the other night. No one seemed to recognize her, but they all wanted their picture taken with her.
Remember: If you aren't having fun, you aren't doing it right! This is an attempt to document the comings and goings and everyday life of our family. There are no promises as to how often we will keep up with the blog, but we are promising you will see us as we truly are.

'Tis the Season...to be asked to dances
Here we go again- those rituals of asking and answering to dances. Valesca was asked to Homecoming. I know that you can't read what it says and she doesn't look wonderful in this picture (all of them were blurry but this one). The poster reads: It would be "flippin" "fun" if you would go to Homecoming with me.

A discovery 10 years in the making
We moved into our home almost 10 years ago. Our home had not been occupied for at least nine months and the yard was all but dead. Our neighbors had put in a fence while the home was vacant. The sprinklers next the the neighbor's fence have never worked properly, but we have not been able to figure out the problem until Saturday.
Brad and Noah have spent the last few weeks digging up the yard looking for leaks- they never found any. Can I just say that we have attempted this method several times over the years. Anyway, they did figure out that when this fence was built, the sprinkler line had been broken where the posts were placed, and then they were fixed. Apparently when they had layed the cement for the posts, wet cement oozed into the new sprinkler pipes which meant that the water could not get to where it was supposed to go as easily.
This was the cement that was found in the pipes. Over the years it had broken up and built up a dam.
Hallelujah!!!!! We found and fixed this perplexing problem! We celebrated...now maybe our grass will grow on that side of the yard.
